VIG Metal has been established for the production of sheets and coils of the lightest metals, aluminum and magnesium, in 2006 in the Industrial Zone - Kutahya/Turkey. It has started its operations with the production of the world’s first 1500mm wide magnesium sheets with a twin roll continuous casting machine in 2008 (an annual capacity of 5000 mton/year). Still VIG Metal Magnesium division continues its R&D studies on cost effective production methods and surface quality improvements in magnesium sheets. In 2010, VIG Metal magnesium division has started to produce components for self-defense industry in gravity magnesium sand casting system.
VIG Metal Aluminum division has started its operations with its continuous caster and cold rolling mill with an annual production capacity of 12.000 ton/year in 2012. With the installation of new equipments our capacity will increase up to 36.000 mton/year in 2019. VIG Metal Aluminum division serves for stockholders , automotive , energy, household goods and consturction sectors.
