Poland Trade Delegation was realised between 23-26 April 2024 in Warsaw by participating 10 sector companies within the organisation of Istanbul Ferrous and Non-Ferrous Metals Exporters’ Association (İDDMİB). İDDMİB is an association who is carrying out Export activities within the the General Secretary of the Istanbul Mineral and Metals Exporter Associations (İMMİB).
Participants of delegation have reached Warsaw on the first day of the delegation. On the second day of the delegation, İDDMİB Board Members Şevket Çalışkan and Aynur Ayhan, 10 participating companies and 12 company representatives visited AluCentrum, which has been a distributor in Poland for 26 years and has been providing finished and semi-finished products especially for aluminium and construction sectors. Afterwards, a meeting was held with Turkpol and Turkpol Business Club association. At the end of the day, the delegation met with Andrej Michalski-Stepkowski, President of the Polish Aluminium Association, at the Marriot Warsaw hotel and received information about the aluminium sector.
On the 2nd day, the delegation dinner was held with the participation of Mr Rauf Alp Denktaş, Warsaw Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey, Ms Nevra Genç, Warsaw Counsellor of the Republic of Turkey and Ms Betül Büke Karaçin, Deputy Counsellor.
On the 3rd day of the Poland Sectoral Trade Delegation, with the participation of our Board Members Aynur Ayhan and Şevket Çalışkan, a meeting was held with Marek Nowakowski, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Polish-Turkish Chamber of Commerce and Maria Nowakowska, Foreign Relations Officer of the Polish Chamber of Commerce.
On the same day, a total of 79 business meetings were held at the Marriot Warsaw Hotel with the participation of 20 local buyers. Turkish Ambassador Mr Rauf Alp Denktaş, Turkish Counsellor Ms Nevra Genç and Deputy Counsellor Ms Betül Büke Karaçin met with 10 members of the delegation at the Marriot Warsaw Hotel.
The companies participating in the delegation evaluated that the organisation was beneficial in terms of increasing exports and increasing market share.
